Who We Are
Steven Veasey, CRSS, CPRS
President, CEO
Steven Veasey is a graduate of the University of St. Francis Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) program in Joliet, IL. He received his CRSS/ CPRS credentials from the Illinois Certification Boards in 2023. Steven currently serves as the President of the St. Francis CRSS CPRS Alumni Group and is a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) ALF, Advanced-level Facilitator.
As a Certified Recovery Support Specialist and Peer Recovery Specialist, I am passionate about enhancing community wellness through collaborative efforts with the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and person-centered support. I specialize in peer-led recovery, program development, and crafting mission-driven content for nonprofit organizations. I'm known for my collaborative leadership and effective communication, and I'm dedicated to supporting individuals on their unique wellness journeys. I am grateful to assist others facing life challenges by sharing hope, empowerment, and opportunities for long-term wellness. My focus is on recovery-oriented initiatives that cultivate stability, resilience, and meaningful outcomes. Growth in life sometimes comes with discomfort and challenges.

Jennifer Greiner, M.Ed.
Vice President
Jennifer brings a deeply rooted passion for education, advocacy, and community support to her role as Vice President. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Purdue University and a Master’s in Education from Northern Illinois University. Before transitioning into higher education and recovery support, she spent several years serving as a K-12 public school special education teacher.
Currently, Jennifer serves as the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) Internship Coordinator and Teaching Instructor at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL, where she previously spent two years empowering students as a CRSS Success Coach.
Throughout her life, Jennifer has maintained a strong commitment to community service. She delivered weekly meals with Meals on Wheels in Aurora, IL, volunteered with the Crisis Intervention Center in Lafayette, IN, and spent several years mentoring local youth as a Girl Scout leader and soccer coach.
Above all, Jennifer values family and treasures spending quality time with her husband, her daughters, and her extended family & friends.
India Williams
Secretary
India is a licensed Social Worker in Illinois and a graduate of the University of St. Francis. She is driven by a deep commitment to service and a belief in every person’s ability to grow, heal, and lead their own life with confidence. Her work focuses on helping individuals strengthen their self‑awareness, develop practical tools for resilience, and build a sense of mastery over their personal journey.
With a grounded, compassionate approach, India supports people through life’s challenges while fostering clarity, empowerment, and long‑term well‑being. She brings intention, empathy, and a steady presence to her practice, creating space for others to discover their strengths and step fully into who they are becoming.
Marcia Van Natta
Treasurer
Marcia brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, organizational leadership, and community commitment to her role as Treasurer. She holds a Master’s in Health Science (Addictions) and a Bachelor’s in Organizational Behavioral Science, along with credentials as a CADC, Co-Occurring Disorders Professional II, MRT Facilitator, and WRAP Seminar 2 Facilitator.
Her career in clinical care began at Stepping Stones, where she advanced into leadership roles, including Director of Extended Care and Recovery Homes. She also served as a Clinical Case Manager for the Will County Problem Solving Courts. Currently, she is a Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) Program Director and has served as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Francis for the past ten years.
A longtime leader in professional and community organizations, Marcia is a Past President and current Member at Large of the Illinois Certification Board. She has also served as Recording Secretary for the Illinois Association of Extended Care and has trained with the Upper Room Crisis Line for more than 15 years, receiving the Sister Mary Fran Seeley Award for her service. As a Joliet Franciscan Associate, she continues to champion education, recovery, and community connection.
